RIP - Al McKenzie

Welcome to this weeks Science of Soul, I'm very sad to report the passing of long time friend Al McKenzie who worked over the years as music director for pretty much every major act in Detroit. Al was the kind of guy who was loved and respected by everyone he worked with - we send our deepest sympathy to his family and friends he will be truly missed. This weeks Science of Soul is dedicated to the memory of Al, Detroit will be a sadder place without him.

I'm feeling in an Old Skool mood this week so there are lots of classic tunes you might not have heard in awhile. Representing the new music I have The Night Affair Band out of South Carolina, The HamilTones and Con-Funk-Shun front man Felton Pilate.
