More sad news, it just never seems to end Detroit Soul legend Sir Mack Rice passed this week after quite a long battle with cancer and I'll will be doing a tribute on next weeks show. Talking of Detroit as I mentioned earlier in the month the R&B hall of fame induction ceremony will be held on August 21st and its just been confirmed a pre awards event will be held at Bert's and is a dress to impress all white affair.sounds lie a fun weekend ahead.

Cornell's smooth delivery has made him an in-demand vocalist for Tarpan Studios. Recently C.C. was honored to be asked by World renowned Carlos Santana to provide background vocals on 2 tracks that will appear on Santana IV, the reunion album. Cornell loves to share his talents with all young artist as well as veteran performers and has established CDC Productions, with the intent to assist all aspiring artist to follow their dreams and to also teach them that it takes time and dedication to reach their goals. Front man extraordinaire, known for his dynamic vocals skills, Phenomenal stage presence and high powered audience engagement has been gracing stages and entertaining thousands with his signature sound. Cornell "C.C." Carter has opened up for artists such as The Whispers, The Temptations, Natalie Cole, Kool and The Gang and many other well established artists. One of the high points of his career has been sharing the stage as an opening act for the late great James Brown and the legendary Ray Charles. His strong love for music developed as a young man growing up in a home that was full of jazz, blues, funk, soul and gospel, which has propelled Cornell to create a 'Gumbo' combination of all of those musical influences! Encouraged by his friend and co-producer Kirk Crumpler, who has produced award winning artist such as Lenny Williams, Michael Cooper, Confunkshun, Bobby Brown and Ralph Tresvant, C.C. and KC came together to collaborate and produce a highly anticipated release, entitled In the Moment. Cornell "C.C." Carter explains that “the vision for this project is strictly to help bridge the gap between the old school and the new school (NOS) while bringing back Feel Good Music to the forefront. I have always appreciated musicians of all styles, past and present and I am motivated to inspire all who have a love for real music”.
