Thank you Mother
First off this week let me say; "A Happy Mothers Day" to all those beautiful ladies who have helped raise us, because their love is pure and unconditional even though sometimes the road may be rocky, the love given remains solid. You have played a major part in making us what we are and for that we thank you. (I know this celebration is on different days in other countries but do love your mother everyday).

I don't know if you got a chance to catch this weeks episode of TVOne's Unsung, what a great show and a richly deserved tribute to The Whispers. They have delivered so much wonderful music and conduct themselves with such dignity and class.....they are truly a group to look up to. Long may they continue to make great music and as a matter of interest there's also a great Whispers live DVD around that's well worth checking out.

Ron Banks
I had the privilege of participating in a tribute to my late friend Ron Banks this week along with his wife Sandy and several members of the Bank's family on a Detroit radio station. I do think a Dramatics Unsung is way over due! So come on TV.ONE give the people what they want. I have a nice treat lined-up for next weeks show with a so-far un-issued track by these guys and believe me it's a future classic.

Our featured label today is Miles Anthony William's New York based company, Righteous Music. Miles is a true 'soul brother' because it was his company that gave us Darien's classic album If These Wall's Could Talk, I will feature a couple of tracks from that set plus a great song from Margot B. We do need to show our support for these independent companies because it's tough trying make a living from music these days. Much  respect and thanks to labels like this who bring us such great music.

Bobby left us the music!
You are probably all aware of Bobby Roger's (of The Miracles,) sad passing last week again Mickey has kindly added an interview that I did with him at his Southfield home in 1993 for PCRL radio( it's found in the left column). Bobby was a founding member of The Miracles and often a writing partner to Smokey Robinson on many classic hit's from the past. The last time I saw Bobby was at the Greater Grace Church in Detroit when myself and Charles Davis of The Contours sat with him at Ron Bank's home going. Bobby Rogers was a fine man with charm and class to spare, I just know his spirit will be with us always, thanks to his joyous music.

Thank you for visiting us here at the Science Of Soul please sit back enjoy the music..
